Web Portfolio

We create responsive, dynamic sites that are user-friendly.

SpartanburgMusicTrail.com

The Spartanburg Music Trail was meant to be an interactive experience. It’s a self-guided walking tour downtown where users discover Spartanburg’s musical heroes. They tried guide-by-cell and QR codes to engage visitors, but it became cost prohibitive and confusing for the user. We designed a mobile-oriented website that allows users with a gps-enabled smartphone to take the tour, listen to narration, hear the music of the artists and discover side trips. (Please see the map for this project in our Print Portfolio.)

Services provided: content development, web design, photography and production.

TextileTownTour.com

This project grew out of the success of the printed map guide we developed for the Spartanburg Convention & Visitors Bureau. To provide even more information to the user, we created this mobile-specific website. It certainly works on a desktop or any sized device as it is built with responsive design, but we optimized it for a handheld device. Turn-by-turn directions and a GPS enabled mapping system provide confidence to the user. Audio tracks and multiple, historical photos for each stop provide an interactive experience.

Services provided: content development, website design and production.

HikeCroft.com

Croft State Park is one of the largest tracts of land in the South Carolina State Park Service. To assist visitors in exploring this resource, we created an interactive experience for the phone, based off the printed map we had previously produced. This mobile-oriented website provides more content for the user, including trail descriptions, points of interest along the way and a GPS enabled map. (Please see the map for this project in our Print Portfolio.)

Services provided: content development, research, photography, trail mapping, website design and production.

HubCityTour.com

After the success of Textile Town, the Convention and Visitor Bureau loves offering both a printed piece and a mobile site to visitors. So when we were tasked with redeveloping the Historic Downtown Walking Tour, a mobile oriented website had to be part of the package. With a website we are able to provide more content for the user, including additional photographs, audio tracks for each location that provide information beyond the text and a truly self-guided tour on a GPS enabled device. (Please see the map for this project in our Print Portfolio.)

Services provided: content development, research, photography, website design and production.

UpcountrySC.com

Since 2010 we have provided content for Discover Upcountry Carolina Association’s websites and social media sites. Content includes news stories, daily posts, maintaining a calendar of events, and database management. We’ve been the project manager on two website builds and data conversion processes.

Services provided: content development, project management.

RevWarTour.com

This project grew out of popular printed map guide produced by the Spartanburg Convention & Visitors Bureau. To provided users with a better experience we developed a mobile-specific website with turn-by-turn directions and GPS enabled maps. Additional content beyond what was available on the printed guide was developed specifically for the site.

Services provided: content development, project management, website design and production.

WalhallaOktoberfest.com

We provided a fresh look and an easy-to-use content management system for this event’s website. The old site was built on a platform that was no longer supported and no one in the organization knew how to update it. We built the site with open source, non-proprietary software that is responsive to any size screen.

Services provided: website design and production.

VisitSpartanburg.com

We provided creative writing and content for the Spartanburg Convention and Visitors Bureau site. They wanted to revamp their itineraries and give visitors lots of options. We pulled together multi-media content that incorporates a fresh take on itineraries as well as existing assets of the client’s. We also produced creative writing for static webpages incorporating their new branding elements and provided input for better functionality and an improved visitor experience.

Services provided: content development, creative writing and consulting.
